My family and I are in New York. Today, my mom and I had a taxi driver was from Bangladesh, Muslim. In 2012 “he won the lottery to America” a blessing he said. This practice no longer is in place. I am curious about his religious life, and I ask. I showed as much interest as possible to show him I want him to know I respect his zeal, and I asked him specifically. What is it like? Your prayer life? The ritual? 5 times a day. Does it become a burden, a chore? Or is it sacred? Has it always been? How did you learn to love it like you do? There’s a language barrier, but it relayed as accountability. I said specifically, my Bible says to pray without ceasing. Does your Koran? He didn’t know what I meant (the word ceasing) but he said thank you. I said thank you back. This was ~12 pm. New York Time. So as always Pastor Steve, thank you
