Understanding The Old Testament
A Providential Article in a Re-Prioritized Week
Last month, I wrote a book review for publication and as it turns out, it was published this week. That worked out well for me. The Lord knew a long time ago that this week I would be at my father’s side, waiting with him for that moment when he shall know what Paul meant when he said, “To live is Christ; to die is gain” (Phil. 1:21). Writing a new article this week hasn’t been my priority.
Providentially, the article I wrote in December was published Tuesday. Its title is To Understand the Old Testament, Recognize It’s Allusions. I love preaching through the Old Testament, and many of you are coming along with me on Sunday mornings in our journey through the Book of Numbers. I wrote this review because I think Professor Matthew Swale’s book will help Bible students of all kinds understand the Old Testament better.
I hope you click on that title, or right here, to read this week’s article. Thanks for taking that extra step this week.
And speaking of Numbers, here’s one of my favorite passages:

Certainly, food for thought. Understanding what God puts before us and the ramifications of not obeying in full.
Hey, Brother I just wanted to say that, I am sorry about your Dad passing away. I’ll be praying, for you and your family. And I will be happy to see you again. Love you Steve.
